Adults using their own accounts

Serein is for adults aged 18 or older who also meet the applicable age-of-majority and legal-consent requirements where they live and use the service. Use the service only where lawful. Provide accurate age and account information and use photos you have the right to use. Do not impersonate anyone, share account access, operate another person's dating account, or recruit or control members on someone else's behalf. Protect your sign-in details and use Settings to revoke sessions you do not recognize.

Minors may not use the service or appear in uploaded profile photos. Child sexual abuse material, sexualized content involving minors, grooming and attempts to contact or exploit minors are prohibited. Stop contact and report an account if you suspect the person is underage or being controlled. A checkbox, email verification, profile approval or membership does not establish age, identity, wealth, safety or relationship status. The current service does not perform identity or criminal background checks.

No compensated encounters or sexual services

Use Serein for voluntary personal relationships. Do not offer, request, advertise, negotiate, arrange or facilitate pay-per-meet (PPM), paid dates, compensated companionship, escort services or sexual activity in exchange for anything of value. This includes money, recurring allowances, gifts, housing, rent, tuition, travel, employment, mentorship or other benefits promised in return for a date, companionship, intimacy or sexual activity. This platform rule is broader than a statement of what the law prohibits.

These restrictions apply to profiles, photos, messages, links and encounters initiated through the service. Do not use coded language, third parties, contact details or another app to arrange prohibited activity. Describing a payment as a gift, reimbursement, allowance, donation or support does not override these rules. Voluntary generosity never buys access to a person or an obligation to provide anything in return.

Prostitution, trafficking, force, fraud, coercion, exploitation, recruitment for those purposes and all other illegal activity are prohibited. Do not advertise a person, manage another member's encounters, collect another person's earnings or profit from their exploitation. We do not broker, price, negotiate or process payments for encounters between members.

Consent and personal boundaries

Participation must be voluntary. Consent must be freely given, specific and ongoing and can be withdrawn at any time. Respect refusals, boundaries and a person's decision to stop communicating. Gifts, spending, subscriptions or previous contact never establish consent or create an obligation to meet, respond or engage in sexual activity. Threats, harassment, stalking, discrimination, blackmail, recording or sharing intimate content without consent, and threats to expose someone's membership are prohibited.

Do not request money, loans, gift cards, cryptocurrency, investments, bank details, passwords or verification codes from members, or use the service to sell content, services or access to other sites. Report suspected scams. Do not send money or sensitive financial information to someone you have only met online. You decide whether to meet; choose a public place and tell someone you trust about your plans.

What membership provides

A membership provides only the platform features described for that membership. It does not purchase another member's attention, companionship, consent or sexual activity, and does not guarantee a reply, introduction, date or relationship. Paying members and complimentary members follow the same conduct rules. We do not certify members' intentions or promise that a relationship will provide financial support or any other outcome.

The current preview and private staging site have no live billing. No payment is collected by the local membership simulator. Public pricing, billing frequency, renewal, cancellation, refunds and applicable consumer rights must be disclosed and reviewed before paid public use; no future subscription is authorized by accepting these development terms.

Reporting and enforcement

Use the in-app Report and Block controls for concerning profiles or messages, including suspected underage use, coercion, trafficking, solicitation, scams or threats. Reports can identify a particular message and preserve relevant evidence. Do not retaliate against someone who reports a concern or knowingly make a false report. Block stops new contact; a report is a separate request for review. If someone faces immediate danger, contact local emergency services; this site is not an emergency response service.

To enforce these rules, Serein may hold messages before delivery, review reported or held content and relevant account information, remove content, restrict features or suspend accounts. Automated checks can flag lawful discussion or miss prohibited conduct. A held message is not a finding of wrongdoing, and profile approval is not a safety guarantee. The current tools do not provide continuous monitoring, comprehensive detection or a staffed round-the-clock response.

Relevant records may be preserved and disclosed when legally required or in response to a lawful request, subject to applicable privacy law. A member cannot waive the operator's legal duties through these terms. The production escalation, reporting, review-contact and evidence-retention procedures still require completion before public launch.

Privacy and records

Read the Privacy Notice for the current data flows and controls. Approved members can view published profiles. Administrators can access accounts, reports, moderation evidence and held messages as required by the current moderation tools. Limited automated screening of message text runs before delivery. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted; authorized database operators can access stored content. Do not share another person's sensitive information or intimate images without permission. We do not promise complete anonymity or confidentiality from lawful disclosure.

Deleting an account removes its profile from discovery, removes sent message bodies from ordinary conversations and queues stored photos for removal. Reports, captured moderation evidence and security audit records may remain. Limited email-delivery metadata and keyed address digests remain to honor bounce and complaint restrictions; those records contain no raw email address or email content. Account-linked policy acceptance records are removed on account deletion. Historical backups require the separate retention and deletion reconciliation process described in the recovery documentation. A complete launch privacy notice and retention schedule still require review.

Policy acceptance and changes

Signup requires separate adult/account, lawful-use, consent/safety and Terms acknowledgements. Before sending messages, every member must separately accept the current Terms and Community Guidelines and acknowledge the lawful-use and consent/safety rules. All boxes start unchecked. Acceptance does not send a message or activate billing. If you do not agree, do not create an account or send messages; existing members can use their available account controls to pause, export or delete their account.

Serein records the account, policy version, document fingerprint, purpose and server acceptance time. Historical policy versions remain available in Policy history. A changed version requires a fresh messaging acknowledgement; existing receipts are not rewritten or automatically carried forward. Acceptance records document a submitted acknowledgement, not proof of identity, comprehension, lawful conduct or legal immunity. No acceptance waives statutory rights or excuses the operator's own unlawful conduct.

Service limits and your legal rights

Members are responsible for their own statements and conduct. Exercise your own judgment about another member and any meeting. The service may be interrupted or contain errors, and fraud prevention, moderation and privacy controls cannot eliminate every risk. These limitations do not remove any responsibility the operator has under applicable law or restrict rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

Operator and dispute-contact details are pending. These development policies are not a finalized public-launch contract, and no future subscription or payment obligation is created by accepting them.

Development status

These are development policies, not attorney-approved public-launch terms. Operator identity and contact details, jurisdiction-specific consumer terms, privacy rights, age assurance, moderation operations and any commercial billing terms must be completed and reviewed before launch. No policy, checkbox or disclaimer guarantees legal compliance or freedom from liability.
