Adults using their own accounts

Serein is for adults aged 18 or older seeking consensual personal relationships. Provide accurate age and account information and use photos you have the right to use. Do not impersonate anyone, operate another person's dating account, or recruit or control members on someone else's behalf. A checkbox, profile review or membership does not verify age, identity, wealth, safety or relationship status.

Prohibited compensated sexual activity and illegal conduct

Do not offer, request, negotiate, arrange, advertise or facilitate sexual activity in exchange for money, gifts, allowances, rent, travel or any other benefit. This prohibition applies to profiles, photos, messages and arrangements initiated through Serein, including attempts to move prohibited negotiations elsewhere. Do not use the service for prostitution, trafficking, coercion, exploitation, activity involving minors, third-party control, fraud or any other illegal activity.

Consent and personal boundaries

Participation must be voluntary. Respect refusals, boundaries and a person's decision to stop communicating. Gifts, spending, subscriptions or previous contact never establish consent or create an obligation to meet, respond or engage in sexual activity. Threats, harassment, stalking, blackmail and sharing intimate content without consent are prohibited.

What membership provides

A membership provides only the platform features described for that membership. It does not purchase another member's attention, companionship, consent or sexual activity, and does not guarantee a reply, introduction, date or relationship. The current preview and private staging site have no live billing. Real pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation and refund terms require separate completion and review before paid public use.

Reporting and enforcement

Use the in-app Report and Block controls for concerning profiles or messages. Serein may hold messages, review reports and relevant evidence, remove content, restrict access or suspend accounts for suspected violations. Automated checks and profile reviews can miss conduct and are not a guarantee of safety or continuous monitoring. Do not submit false reports. If someone faces immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

Privacy and records

Approved members can view published profiles. Administrators can access accounts, reports, moderation evidence and held messages as required by the current moderation tools. Messages are not represented as end-to-end encrypted. Do not share another person's sensitive information or intimate images without permission.

Deleting an account removes its profile from discovery, removes sent message bodies from ordinary conversations and queues stored photos for removal. Reports, captured moderation evidence and security audit records may remain. Limited email-delivery metadata and keyed address digests remain to honor bounce and complaint restrictions; those records contain no raw email address or email content. Account-linked policy acceptance records are removed on account deletion. Historical backups require the separate retention and deletion reconciliation process described in the recovery documentation. A complete launch privacy notice and retention schedule still require review.

Policy acceptance and changes

Signup requires explicit adult, lawful-use and terms acknowledgements. Before messaging, each account must explicitly acknowledge the current messaging conduct rules. Serein records the policy version, document fingerprint, purpose and server acceptance time. A changed policy requires a new acknowledgement; prior acceptance is not automatically assigned to a new version. An acknowledgement does not waive anyone's statutory rights or excuse the operator's own unlawful conduct.

Development status

These are development policies, not attorney-approved public-launch terms. Operator identity and contact details, jurisdiction-specific consumer terms, privacy rights, age assurance, moderation operations and any commercial billing terms must be completed and reviewed before launch. No policy, checkbox or disclaimer guarantees legal compliance or freedom from liability.
