Good perspective starts
with a clear source.
We want our guides to help you make a thoughtful choice—even when that choice is to take more time.
Who publishes the Journal.
The Journal is a Sugar Intentions publication, operated by Cinder Coast Digital LLC. We operate a dating website. Our comparisons are written from that perspective, rather than presented as an independent review magazine.
Our organizational byline identifies Sugar Intentions as the publisher responsible for the guides. Our comparisons use published information; they do not measure member response rates or local activity.
How we research comparisons.
We use the official public product information, help pages and policies linked within each guide. We distinguish what a company publishes from what has been independently observed. A company's description of verification is not an audit of every profile, and an individual's complaint is not proof of platform-wide behavior.
The current comparison collection is based on public-document research. It is not a paid-membership study, a measurement of local activity or a test of reply rates. Where a price or feature could not be verified for an account, market or purchase channel, we leave that limitation visible.
What makes a guide useful.
We favor clear questions, original worksheets and practical examples over a long feature list or a predetermined winner. A ‘best’ choice needs a reader and a reason. Our pages do not award invented ratings, promise safety or turn membership into a claim on someone's attention.
Profile prompts and message ideas are suggestions written for the guides. They are not copied member profiles, customer quotations or evidence of guaranteed responses. Product instructions should reflect the actual website and link to its current policies.
Sources and corrections.
Each researched guide links to its sources and lists when we checked them. We review factual claims against those sources and keep corrections tied to the underlying information.
We aim to update material when a substantive fact changes, rather than changing a date to make an old page look new. Company offers and rules can change before a page is revised, so check the original source before relying on a purchase condition. If you identify a concern, use the current contact or reporting information provided in our Privacy Notice and Safety information.
A connection remains a choice.
Our community standards prohibit pay-per-meet, paid companionship, compensated intimacy, coercion and scams. Generosity, gifts and website membership do not create an obligation to meet or be intimate. An article is not permission to evade those boundaries or a substitute for advice on a personal legal, medical or financial situation.
We want readers to understand the environment before deciding whether to join. A useful guide should leave you better informed, with room to choose what is right for you.
